Some Parliament members opposed to idea to ban the use of national emblem image on business cards, 24.kg reported. The statement was made public today at a meeting of Zhogorku Kenesh when discussing the bill "On State Symbols of KR", initiated by the deputy Tursunbai Bakir uulu.
According to SDPK faction member Irina Karamushkina, it is unclear what for MPs should prohibit the use of national symbols on business cards. "Those who frequently travel abroad, always take business cards, which display the state symbol. Exchanging business cards contributes to the fact that more people will learn about Kyrgyzstan. I think that there is no need to introduce this ban," she said.
Zairbek Zhooshbekov, her colleague, supported her and noted that the image on business cards emblem only raises the country's image internationally. However, the proponent said that officials do not usually use this emblem on business cards. "Most f them use profile symbols," Tursunbai Bakir uulu replied.
