Kyrgyzgas reduces technical losses in natural gas distribution

It was managed to reduce the technical losses in natural gas transmission and distribution to 5.7 percent in Kyrgyzstan, 24.kg news agency reported with reference to JSC Kyrgyzgas.
The company reported that losses from gas leak constituted 23 percent in 2010.

"To date, the entire repair work has been completed. The last major crash in Bishkek is localized, when a big hole, resulting in decreased pressure, occurred," the report reads.

The company noted that the heating season in Bishkek is expected to begin on Nov. 1.

Kyrgyzgas is natural monopoly that performs all functions for providing consumers with natural gas in Kyrgyzstan. The main activities are the organization of purchasing, transportation, distribution of natural gas, as well as fund-raising and performing payments to gas suppliers.
