Kyrgyzstan, China discuss cooperation perspectives

The perspectives for Kyrgyz-Chinese cooperation were discussed during the meeting of Kyrgyzstan's Prime Minister Joomart Otorbayev with China's government officials, Kabar news agency reported on September 1.

Otorbayev is on an working visit in Urumqi, the capital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous region in northwest China.

During the number of meetings, the sides discussed the current state and the perspectives for expanding humanitarian, as well as trade and economic cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and China, according to Kyrgyz government.

Otorbayev held a meeting with the leaders of the number of leading Chinese corporations to discuss joint investment projects as well as possible investments into Kyrgyz economy.

Within his visit, Otorbayev also held negotiations with Kazakhstan's Prime Minister Karim Masimov. The sides discussed relevant issues of bilateral cooperation.
