Health condition of Kyrgyzstan’s President Almazbek Atambayev is normal and he is still in Turkey, an official of the presidential press service told RIA Novosti.
“The president’s health condition is normal. He has already made a statement today,” said the official.
Earlier, the Kyrgyz presidential press service said Atambayev took a short vacation to undergo a medical examination.
The vacation will presumably last until Oct. 1, 2016, the press service added.
Atambayev suddenly felt ill Sept. 19 on the way to New York and was advised by his doctors to pass a preliminary medical exam.
The examination discovered some symptoms of possible heart problems.
He had to cancel the visit to the 71st session of the UN General Assembly in New York as a result.
