The ex-president of Kyrgyzstan, and the current leader of the Social Democratic Party of Kyrgyzstan (SDPK), Almazbek Atambaev participated in the One Belt-One Way round table in the framework of the Boao Forum for Asia, held in China, the SDPK secretariat said in a message.
The parties held an exchange of views on activities in the sphere of construction of infrastructure, energy, transport, logistics, production and finance, during the meeting.
The participants also discussed the experience of different countries since the adoption of the One-Way-One Way initiative, and ways to encourage the participation of private capital in the further implementation of this initiative.
Speaking at the interactive session, Atambayev emphasized that the implementation of the One Belt-One Way and the development of mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation between Asia and Europe is an urgent and important initiative.
Touching upon the advantageous geographical position of Kyrgyzstan as a connecting node, he stressed the importance of promoting priority projects, such as the automobile and railroads in China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan direction, which will contribute to the economic development of the entire region.
