BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 5. The National Bank, 23 commercial banks, 580 non-banking financial and credit institutions, 14 insurance companies, and two investment funds were among the 620 organizations that engaged in the financial sector of the economy of Kyrgyzstan in 2021, Trend reports via the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
The total income of the financial sector of the economy in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 64 billion som ($780 million) in 2021, which is an increase of 20 percent compared to 53 billion som ($646 million) in 2020.
Meanwhile, the profit of the financial sector of Kyrgyz economy amounted to 20.5 billion som ($250 million) in 2021, which is 45 percent more than 14.1 billion in 2020.
