BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 12. Kyrgyzstan introduced an anti-crisis economic plan at the annual European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) meeting in Morocco, Trend reports via EBRD’s report.

As the Kyrgyzstan’s economy is currently continuing to recover from the crisis caused by the spread of COVID-19, the Cabinet of Ministers' top priority is to establish the conditions that will encourage private sector growth and economic development.

The strategy was developed by Kyrgyz’s Cabinet of Ministers in order to:

- maintain macroeconomic and social stability;

- ensure resilience against external challenges;

- deploy all monetary policy tools available and the necessary resources;

- minimize external economic shocks.

Given the need to implement the anti-crisis economic plan, Kyrgyzstan had to reallocate budget funds earmarked for development to measures for supporting the population and ensuring food security.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is holding its 31st Annual Meeting and Business Forum in both physical and hybrid modes in Marrakech, Morocco this May, after two years in which the event had to take place virtually because of the coronavirus pandemic.
