Baku, Azerbaijan, June 18. Kyrgyzstan increased textile production volume from January through May 2022, Trend reports citing the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
The total amount of Kyrgyzstan's textile production in the reporting period reached 3.2 billion soms ($41 million), which is an increase of 23 percent compared to the same period in 2021 (2.6 billion soms, or $33.2 million).
Meanwhile, the value of garment production in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 2.3 billion soms ($29.5 million), which is 21 percent more compared to the period from January through May last year (1.9 billion soms, or $24.6 million).
The total amount of other textile products manufactured in the first five months of this year totaled 753.3 million soms ($9.4 million), - an increase of 44.6 percent compared to 523.3 million soms ($6.5 million dollars) in the reporting period of 2021.
