BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 27. Kyrgyzstan's wholesale and retail trade turnover from January through May 2022 slightly increased, Trend reports citing the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the statistics, the total value of the wholesale and retail trade in the first five months of 2022 in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 218.3 billion soms ($2.7 billion), which is an increase of 8.8 percent compared to the same period of 2021.
The wholesale trade turnover in the reporting period increased by 15.3 percent, while the retail trade slightly increased by 5.2 percent compared to the corresponding period of last year.
Meanwhile, Kyrgyzstan's wholesale and retail trade turnover in 2021 reached 689.3 billion soms ($8.6 billion), which is an increase of 28.3 percent compared to 2022 (537.2 billion soms or $6.7 billion).
