BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 4. Kyrgyzstan is considering relocation of Jalal-Abad airport, Trend reports with reference to the economist.kg.
Reportedly, a project has already been developed for the relocation, and the local authorities will provide comprehensive support.
"Turkish Limantalia Gairimenkul Construction Tourism company's representatives have already inspected a planned airport construction place in the Suzak region with a total area of more than 270 hectares," the message says.
In the near future, the issues of operation and safety of the selected site will be checked by the relevant services.
The Jalal-Abad Airport is located 2 km from the city center and serves only domestic flights within Kyrgyzstan.
