BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 5. Kyrgyzstan shared data on the country's textile production in the first half of 2022, Trend reports with reference to the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the statistics, the value of Kyrgyzstan's textile production from January through June 2022 totaled 3.8 billion soums ($46.6 million).
Meanwhile, the total value of manufacturing industries' production of Kyrgyzstan in the reporting period amounted to 142.9 billion soums ($1.7 billion).
Kyrgyzstan is actively launching several new textile productions. For instance, in the second quarter of 2022, a cotton processing factory with a production capacity of 12,000 tons of cotton per year will be opened in Kyrgyzstan's Tokmok industrial zone.
