BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 18. Kyrgyzstan will finance the development of the country's fishery industry, Trend reports referring to the Kyrgyz Media.
Reportedly, Kyrgyzstan plans to allocate 1 billion soms ($12.3 million) to support local entrepreneurs in the fishery industry.
The fishing industry lacked a regulatory framework up until now. For Kyrgyzstan, this sector is fully undeveloped. Currently, the country is studying Kazakhstan's and Russia's experiences.
Meanwhile, until the end of the year, Kyrgyz importers of fishery feed are exempted from paying VAT. At the moment, entrepreneurs, together with government agencies, are developing the next stage of the program aimed to support the fishing industry.
