BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 6. The value of Kyrgyzstan's imports from Belarus increased from January through June 2022, Trend reports referring to the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan
According to the committee, Kyrgyzstan from January through June imported goods worth $28.5 million from Belarus, which is an increase of 22.8 percent compared to the same period of last year ($23.2 million).
The main goods imported by Kyrgyzstan from Belarus in the reporting period were:
- meat products (including canned meat) - $4 million;
- tractors worth $2.4 million;
- oil and petroleum products $2.2 million;
- timber and wood products $2.1 million;
- pharmaceutical products $1.7 million;
- dairy products $1.4 million.
Meanwhile, the export of goods from Kyrgyzstan to Belarus from January through June this year amounted to $13 million, which is an increase of 88.4 percent compared to the same period of 2021 (6.9 million)
Thus, the trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Belarus in the reporting period increased by 37.4 percent compared to the corresponding period of last year ($30.2 million) - up to $41.5 million.
