BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 19. Kyrgyzstan's trade turnover with China sharply increased from January through July 2022, Trend reports citing the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.

According to the committee, the trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and China in 7 months of this year amounted to $2.1 billion, which is a threefold increase over the same period in 2021 ($718.1 million).

The value of Chinese exports to Kyrgyzstan from January through July 2022 reached over $2 billion, which is three times higher compared to the same period of last year ($681.4 million)

Meanwhile, Kyrgyz exports of goods to China in the reporting period totaled $37.3 million, which is a slight increase of 1.6 percent over the corresponding period of last year ($36.7 million).

Thus, China ranked first among the main trading partners of Kyrgyzstan in the first 7 months of 2022 followed by Russia - $1.7 billion and Kazakhstan - $665.5 million.
