BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 29. Kyrgyzstan wants to support local producers of dried fruits, Director of the National Investment Agency under the President of Kyrgyzstan Umbriel Temiraliev said today, Trend reports citing kabar.kg.
He underlined that the government of Kyrgyzstan wants to support start-up enterprises, advise them on production processes, help them buy modern equipment and enter the right markets.
"The fruits of the wild apple tree, plums, apricots and nuts are unique. But in Kyrgyzstan we do not have enough modern equipment for their collection and drying," Temiraliev said.
According to him, today Arab countries, South Korea, European countries, as well as the US and Canada show great interest in processed products of Kyrgyz producers.
In addition, he stressed that one of the priorities in attracting investments to Kyrgyzstan should be the support of small and medium-sized enterprises.
