BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 15. The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) has published latest information on the inflation in Kyrgyzstan for October 2022, Trend reports with reference to tazabek.kg.
According to the EDB, the inflation in Kyrgyzstan in October this year was at the level of 15.4 percent.
“A faster slowdown in the indicator was hampered by an increase in demand from non-residents and rising costs for producers due to problems in international supply chains,” the bank explains.
The EDB analysts claim that high import prices will continue to influence consumer prices in Kyrgyzstan. At the same time, inflationary pressure from foreign citizens who temporarily entered the country may ease in the rest of the year.
“As a result, the Eurasian Development Bank expects some slowdown in inflation by the end of the year,” the bank says.
