BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 15. The value of Kyrgyzstan's electricity generation increased from January through October 2022, Trend reports citing the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
According to statistics, Kyrgyzstan in 10 months of this year generated electricity worth 27.3 billion soms ($324.6 million), which is an increase of 10 percent over the same period in 2021 (24.8 billion soms, or $294.3 million).
Earlier, the Ministry of Energy of Kyrgyzstan announced that in 2022 the country plans to generate 10.9 billion kWh of electricity at hydroelectric power plants, and 2.5 billion kWh at the Bishkek thermal power plant (TPP).
The Ministry of Energy forecasts that electricity consumption by the population of Kyrgyzstan in 2022 will reach 16 billion kWh.
