BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 17. Kyrgyzstan's textile manufacturing significantly increased from January through October 2022,Trend reports with reference to the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the committee, Kyrgyzstan in 10 months of this year increased textile production by 27.2 percent over the same period in 2021 (5.5 billion soms, or $66.2 million) - up to 7 billion soms ($83.8 million).
During the reporting period, garment production in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 5.1 billion soms ($60.6 million), which is 34.2 percent more compared to the corresponding period of last year (3.8 billion soms, or $45.2 million).
The value of other textile products produced (including the production of leather goods, the production of shoes) from January through October 2022 in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 1.9 billion soms ($23.2 million).
As of November 17, 2022, the official exchange rate set by the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan is 84.42 KGS/1 USD.
