BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 17. The value of trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and European countries has amounted to $665.9 million from January through December 2022, which is a decrease from $673 million in 2021, Trend reports citing the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the data, the value of export from Kyrgyzstan to Europe reached $88 million in 2022, significantly decreasing from $349.6 million in 2021.
At the same time, the fall in export was compensated by the growth of supply to Kyrgyzstan. The value of the country’s imports from Europe in the reporting period amounted to $577.5 million, which is an increase of 78 percent over 2021 when the value of Kyrgyzstan’s imports from European countries made up $323.5 million.
The value of Kyrgyzstan’s foreign trade turnover reached $11.8 billion from January through December 2022, which is a 41-percent increase over the same period of 2021 ($8.3 billion).
The value of export from Kyrgyzstan reached $2.1 billion in 2022, which is a decrease of 21 percent compared to 2021 ($2.7 billion).
The value of imports to Kyrgyzstan in the reporting period was $9 billion, which is an increase of 72 percent over 2021 ($5 billion).
