BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 20. The value of trade turnover between Lithuania and Kyrgyzstan registers a significant increase in 2022, Trend reports with reference to the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
During the reporting period, the trade turnover between the two countries amounted to $72.5 million, which is more than a twofold increase over 2021 ($36 million). Notably, growth is recorded in both imports and exports.
The value of Kyrgyzstan’s exports to Lithuania reached $5.8 million in 2022, which is nearly 2.7 times more than in the preceding year ($2.1 million).
A larger share in trade turnover between the two countries falls on Kyrgyz imports. Last year, Kyrgyzstan’s imports from Lithuania made up $66 million, increasing by almost two times over 2021 ($33.9 million).
In total, trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Europe amounted to $665.9 million in 2022. Lithuania ranked second in terms of the number of Kyrgyzstan’s trade turnover with European countries after Germany ($180 million).
