BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 20. Kyrgyzstan exported an amount of 300,530 sheep and goats from January through December 2022, which is an increase of nearly 41 times, compared to the same period of 2021 (7,203), Trend reports via the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.

The value of Kyrgyzstan’s exports of sheep and goats amounted to $47.69 million in 2022, from $1 million in 2021.

According to the data, Uzbekistan was the main receiver of these domestic animals from Kyrgyzstan.

In the reporting period, Uzbekistan imported 300,440 sheep and goats from Kyrgyzstan worth $47.68 million. It is a substantial increase in comparison to over 7,163 animals in 2021.

At the same time, some 90 sheep and goats worth $8,100 were exported to Georgia.

The value of trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan amounted to $599 million, increasing by 20 percent over 2021 ($496 million).

Exports from Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan in the reporting period reached $236 million, which is an increase of 31 percent over the same period of 2021 ($180 million).

In general, the exports from Kyrgyzstan amounted to $2.1 billion in 2022, which is a decrease of 21 percent over 2021 ($2.7 billion).
