BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 20. Kyrgyzstan imported 508,319 birds in 2022, which is an increase of 1.4 times from 339,280 in 2021, Trend reports with reference to the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.

The value of live poultry imports to Kyrgyzstan in the reporting period amounted to $510,700 birds compared to 310,000 in 2021.

According to the statistics, Russia was a main supplier in 2022 (346,519 birds worth $244,300) - an increase of 26 percent over 2021 (274,240 birds).

Uzbekistan was the second biggest exporter (124,000 birds for $81,000), increasing its exports by almost 2.5 times compared to the same period of 2021.

Meanwhile, Netherlands exported 37,800 birds worth $185,400 to Kyrgyzstan in 2022, while exporting none at all in 2021.

The value of Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade turnover amounted to $11.8 billion in 2022, while in 2021 this figure was $8.3 billion.

The value of Kyrgyz exports in 2022 reached $2.1 billion, decreasing by 20 percent compared to 2021 ($2.7 billion).

The value of imports to Kyrgyzstan in the reporting period amounted to $9 billion, which is an increase of 72 percent over 2021 ($5 billion).
