BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 15. Kyrgyzstan produced 36.8 million eggs in January 2023, which is an increase of 20.7 percent compared to January 2022, Trend reports with reference to the statistics of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
As the commission noted, this is the largest increase in eggs production among the EAEU (the Eurasian Economic Union) member-countries in January 2023.
The main live-stock production in Kyrgyzstan in the reporting period included cattle and poultry for slaughter, and milk.
According to the statistics, Kyrgyzstan produced 31,300 tons of cattle and poultry for slaughter in the reporting period, which is an increase of 1.1 percent compared to January 2022.
At the same time, Kyrgyzstan produced 83,000 tons of milk in the first month of 2023, which is 1.7 percent more than in January 2022.
Overall, the agriculture production in Kyrgyzstan increased by 1.7 percent in January 2023 compared to January 2022.
Kyrgyzstan produced 607.8 million of eggs in 2022, which is an increase of 7.7 percent compared to 2021. This was also the largest increase of eggs production in the EAEU in 2022.
According to the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan, the country’s farms produced agricultural products worth 354.6 billion somoni ($4.1 billion) in 2022, which is an increase of 7.3 percent over 2021.
