BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 27. The trading volume in the Kyrgyz Stock Exchange amounted to 6.89 million soms ($79,055) from March 20 through 25, increasing by 62.4 percent over the preceding week, Trend reports with reference to the Kyrgyz Stock Exchange.
During the reporting period, the transactions were made with corporate and government securities.
The transactions with corporate bonds accounted for 70.91 percent of the total share of the trading volume. The share of the transactions with government treasury bonds amounted to 24.01 percent of the trading volume, and the transactions with shares of companies – to 5.08 percent.
Reportedly, 2 transactions for 1.66 million soms ($19,046) were made in the primary market with government treasury bonds. The last time a transaction with this type of security was registered was on February 17, 2023, the volume then amounted to 310,000 soms ($3,556).
In the primary market, the total volume of trades amounted to 4.89 million soms ($56,107), increasing by 54.3 percent over the preceding week.
In the secondary market, only stocks were traded from March 20 through 25. There were only 4 transactions with the amount of 350,000 soms ($4,015), including transactions with shares of Manas International Airport (220,000 soms or $2,524), and Kyrgyzneftegaz (130,000 soms or $ 1,491). The trading volume decreased by 67.5 percent compared to the previous period.
