BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 8. The construction of a terminal building of Talas Airport in northern Kyrgyzstan is planned to be completed in late 2023, Director for Infrastructure and Regional Development of Manas International Airport (MAM) Altynbek Mambetov said, Trend reports via press-service of MAM.
The statement was made following the visit of Chairman of the Board of MAM Manasbek Samidinov to Talas Airport on April 7, where the beginning of the construction work on the terminal and airfield of the airport was discussed with Nurlan Dardanov, Presidential Envoy to Talas region, and Askar Shabdanov, mayor of Talas city.
According to Mambetov, the design and estimate documentation for the construction of a new terminal building of Talas Airport is currently at the completion stage. The terminal designed to serve 100 passengers per hour.
In his turn, Samedov said that Manas International Airport together with the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Kyrgyzstan, are currently working on further repair and restoration work of the asphalt concrete pavement of the runway, taxiway and aprons of Talas Airport airfield.
