Kyrgyzstan’s milk production up in 1Q2023

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 9. A total of 282,870 tons of raw milk were produced in Kyrgyzstan from January through March 2023, which is 6 percent more than in the same period of 2022 (277,597 tons), Trend reports via the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.

According to the statistics, the Chuy region of Kyrgyzstan ranked first among the regions of the country in terms of raw milk production in 1Q2023. During the reporting period, 81,211 tons of milk was produced in the region, which is 1.9 percent more than 79,662 tons in 1Q2022.

In the reporting period, the Sokuluk district was the leader in the Chuy region, producing 18,246 tons of milk, while the smallest volume of milk in the region was recorded in the Kemin district - 3,786 tons.

The Chuy region was followed by the Issyk-Kul region, which produced 52,632 tons of milk, and the Osh region with production of 51,748 tons.

Moreover, in the Jalal-Abad district, farmers produced 44,596 tons of milk in the specified period, in the Naryn region – 23,209 tons, in the Talas region – 14,649 tons and in the Batken region - 14,009 tons.
