BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 24. Trade turnover between Georgia and Kyrgyzstan has increased by 12.3 times year-on-year in April 2023, Trend reports.
As statistical data provided by Georgia show, trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Georgia amounted to $48.845 million in April 2023 versus $3.959 million in the corresponding month of 2022.
In the specified period, Kyrgyzstan’s imports from Georgia formed the bulk of the trade turnover, amounting to $48.064 million. The figure grew by 12.5 times compared to April 2022 ($3.818 million).
Meantime, exports from Kyrgyzstan to Georgia reached $781,370, with a year-on-year growth of 5.5 times compared to $141,080 in April 2022.
Overall, trade turnover between the countries experienced a significant year-on-year growth from January through April 2023, reaching $146.065 million, which is 13.6 times higher than the $10.685 million recorded in the corresponding months of 2022.
Kyrgyzstan’s imports from Georgia totaled $114.049 million, increasing by 14.4 times over $9.982 in the January-April period of 2022.
At the same time, exports from Kyrgyzstan to Georgia reached $2.016 million, which is 2.8 times more than in the corresponding data of 2022 ($702,550).
