BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 24. Cargo transportation in Kyrgyzstan by all means of transport showed positive dynamic in the period from January through April 2023, Trend reports.
As outlined in the country’s statistics, cargo transportation in Kyrgyzstan increased by 12.4 percent or 1.6 million tons yearly, reaching a total of 14.495 million tons from January to April 2023. In comparison, 12.896 million tons of cargo were transported in Kyrgyzstan in the same period of 2022.
In April 2023, Kyrgyzstan saw a growth of 1.5 percent or 100 kg in cargo transportation over the indicators of April 2022. In comparison with Mach 2023, the volume of cargo transportation dropped by 22.5 percent.
The largest volume in cargo transportation from January through April 2023 was recorded in Bishkek city – 4.4 million tons, which is an increase of 10.2 percent compared to the corresponding months of 2022.
The largest growth of 33.5 percent occurred in Issyk-Kul region, where volume of transported cargo amounted to 593,300 tons.
The positive dynamic in cargo transportation was registered in all regions of Kyrgyzstan.
