BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 25. The volume of cement produced in Kyrgyzstan in April 2023 increased by 21.2 percent year-on-year, Trend reports.
According to Kyrgyzstan’s statistics, a total of 297,600 tons of cement was produced in the country during the month under review, increasing compared to April 2022 (245,600 tons).
In total, 751,900 tons of cement were produced in Kyrgyzstan in the period from January through April 2023. The production rose by 10.4 percent compared to 681,200 tons within the same timeframe in 2022.
According to the statistical data of the Eurasian Economic Commission, the cement production in Kyrgyzstan reached 2.6 million tons in 2022, marking a 7 percent growth compared to the preceding year when it stood at 2.4 million tons.
Last year, Kyrgyzstan exported 625,391 tons of cement, which is 6 percent less than 668,608 tons in 2021, with Uzbekistan being the sole buyer of Kyrgyz cement.
