BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 25. Trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan, Austria increased by 118 percent or 2.1 times year-on-year during the period from January through March 2023, Trend reports.
The volume of the trade between the countries reached $3.8 million, or 0.1 percent of Kyrgyzstan’s trade turnover. Whereas, the figure stood at $1.7 million in 1Q2022.
Imports by Kyrgyzstan from Austria registered a 2.6 times growth year-on-year, totaling $3.7 million, which is higher than $1.4 million in 1Q2022. The share of Austria accounted for 0.2 percent of Kyrgyzstan imports.
By contrast, in the reporting period exports from Kyrgyzstan to Austria decreased by 76 percent year-on-year – from $346,200 to $84,000.
Trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Austria reached $14.5 million in 2022, which is an increase of 2.3 times compared to 2021 ($6 million).
Last year, exports from Kyrgyzstan to Austria amounted to $575,900, increasing by almost 33 percent compared to $17,500 in 2021.
The value of imports to Kyrgyzstan from Austria totaled $13.9 million, which is 2.3 times more than $6 million in 2021.
