Exports of barley grain, wheat flour from Russia's Kuzbass to Kyrgyzstan disclosed

BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, August 25. A total of 138.9 tons of food barley grain have been exported from Russia’s Kuzbass (Kemerovo Oblast) to Kyrgyzstan since the beginning of 2023, Trend reports.

According to the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance of the Russian Federation (Rosselkhoznadzor), additionally, 64.01 tons of wheat flour were exported from Kuzbass to Kyrgyzstan during this period.

Since the beginning of 2023, wheat flour from Kuzbass has also been exported to China, North Korea, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, and the UAE.

So far, over 112,000 tons of grain and its processed products have been exported from Kuzbass this year. Rosselkhoznadzor noted that all exported products met the requirements of the recipient countries.

According to the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan, trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Russia amounted to $1.322 billion from January through June 2023, which is 13 percent less than in the corresponding months of 2022 ($1.515 billion).

Russian exports to Kyrgyzstan reached $933 million, decreasing 17 percent year-on-year, while Kyrgyzstan’s exports to Russia totaled $389.220 million, decreasing 1.1 percent year-on-year.
