BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, September 3. Kyrgyzstan's imports of oil products from Germany in the period from January through June 2023 increased by 89 percent year-on-year, Trend reports.
Data from the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan reveals that the country imported 707.4 tons of oil products from Germany during the specified period, compared to only 374 tons imported in the same period of 2022.
The value of these imports reached $2.771 million, marking a 2.5-fold increase compared to the corresponding months in 2022 ($1.078 million).
Overall, Kyrgyzstan imported 213,636 tons of oil products from January through June 2023, which is 40 percent less than in the same period of 2022 (352,332 tons).
The largest supplier of oil products to Kyrgyzstan in the reporting period was Russia, from which Kyrgyzstan imported 189,809 tons of oil products worth $127.146 million. The volume of these imports decreased by 49 percent year-on-year.
During the same period, Kyrgyzstan's imports from Germany amounted to $187.765 million, which is 5 times more than in the first half of 2022, and accounted for 3.5 percent of Kyrgyzstan's total imports
