BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, September 26. A total of 285,715 tons of oil products were imported by Kyrgyzstan from January through July 2023, which is 28.2 percent less than in the same period of 2022, Trend reports.
Data from the State Statistical Committee of the country indicates that the value of these imports totaled $22.476 million, decreasing by 26.7 percent year-on-year.

The most significant increase was observed in the import volume of oil products from Canada (by 6 times), Belgium (by 5.7 times), the UAE (by 3.6 times), and Italy (by 3.4 times).
Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade turnover amounted to $8.153 billion from January through July 2023, representing an increase of 32.3 percent compared to the same months in 2022.
Exports amounted to $1.602 billion, marking a 45.6 percent increase compared to the corresponding months of 2022, while imports rose by 29.4 percent year-on-year, totaling $6.551 billion.
