Kyrgyzstan's exports of precious metal ores, concentrates to Kazakhstan up

BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, September 27. A total of 54,215 tons of precious metal ores and concentrates were exported from Kyrgyzstan to Kazakhstan from January through July 2023, which is 15 percent less than the same period last year (63,672 tons), Trend reports.

Data from the State Statistics Committee of Kyrgyzstan shows that the value of these exports reached $105.819 million, up by 28 percent compared to $82.178 million recorded from January through July 2022.

During the reporting period, Kyrgyzstan also exported precious metal ores and concentrates to China, amounting to 7,451 tons for $18.660 million, and to Türkiye, totaling 628 tons for $1.268 million.

In total, Kyrgyzstan exported 62,294 tons of precious metal ores and concentrates from January through July 2023, which is a 20 percent year-on-year decrease. As for the value, it amounted to $125.748 million, marking 21 percent year-on-year growth.

Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade turnover amounted to $8.153 billion from January through July 2023, which is an increase of 32.3 percent compared to the same months in 2022.

Exports amounted to $1.602 billion, increasing by 45.6 percent compared to the corresponding months of 2022. Imports rose by 29.4 percent year-on-year, totaling $6.551 billion.
