BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, September 27. In total, 182,800 insurance contracts have been concluded in the first six months in Kyrgyzstan, which is 43.4 percent more than in the same period of 2022, Trend reports.
Data from the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan reveals that out of these contracts, 78.6 percent were agreements with individuals, and 21.4 percent were with legal entities.
Furthermore, 55.1 percent of the total number of contracts were for voluntary insurance, while 44.9 percent were for mandatory insurance.
As of July 1, the total insurance value under these contracts reached 690.2 billion soms ($7.7 billion), decreasing by 14.7 percent compared to the same period in 2022.
Significant reductions in insurance value were observed in voluntary liability insurance, property insurance for individuals, and personal medical insurance.
During the first half of this year, 640 organizations were operating in the financial sector of Kyrgyzstan, including the National Bank, 23 commercial banks, 601 non-banking financial credit organizations, and 15 insurance companies.
