BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, November 27. A total of 325,676 insurance contracts were concluded in Kyrgyzstan between January from September 2023, of them 214,563 contracts were for voluntary and 111,113 for mandatory insurance, Trend reports.
According to data from Kyrgyzstan's National Statistical Committee, 179,620 of the voluntary contracts were for personal insurance, while 25,905 were for property insurance.
Furthermore, 8,734 contracts were related with liability insurance, while 304 were classified as other types of voluntary insurance.
The overall insurance sum from these agreements was 1.346 trillion soms ($15 billion) as of October 1, 2023, representing a quarter rise over the previous year's nine-month period.
The largest increases in insurance amounts were seen in voluntary property insurance contracts and mandatory civil liability insurance.
There were 647 finance organizations in Kyrgyzstan from January through September 2023, including the National Bank, 23 commercial banks, 608 non-bank financial and credit organizations, and 15 insurance companies. The client base of financial sector organizations surpassed 11 million by the end of September 2023, indicating an increase of over 4 million within a year.
