BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, December 27. The number of Visa cards in circulation in Kyrgyzstan's Osh region amounted to 246,473 as of the end of September 2023, Trend reports.
Data from the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan indicates that this figure increased by 71 percent compared to the 143,592 cards at the end of September last year.
As of the end of September 2023, there were a total of 881,936 cards in circulation in the Osh region, which is 31 percent higher than the number for the same date in 2022 (673,051 cards). The Osh region's share in the total number of cards in circulation amounted to 13.9 percent.
On September 30, 2023, Kyrgyzstan had a total of 2.956 million Visa payment cards in circulation, accounting for 46.61 percent of the total cards. This figure increased by 73 percent compared to the 1.704 million cards (36.6 percent of the total) reported on the same date in 2022.
The total number of bank cards in circulation in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 6.344 million cards as of the reporting date, which is a 36-percent increase compared to the same date last year.
