BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, December 28. The National Agency for Investments under the President of Kyrgyzstan is currently supporting 12 projects totaling $2.304 billion, Jibek Abdullaeva, Deputy Director of the National Agency for Investments, said during the press conference, Trend reports.
She elaborated that these projects include the construction of a multifunctional trade-logistics center in the Chuy region, valued at $20 million.
There are also ongoing efforts to modernize the "Dzhunda" oil refinery and the Kyrgyz Petroleum Company's oil refinery. Solar stations, minor hydropower plants, a solar power plant, and an industrial-logistics park are also part of these activities.
Furthermore, there are ongoing initiatives such as the creation of a construction cluster, the establishment of a textile factory, the development of a gold ore deposit, construction of “Solto Skyway Park” tourist facility and others.
Inflow of foreign direct investment (FDI) into Kyrgyzstan totaled $654.621 million from January through September 2023. China led the way with $157.8 million in FDI to Kyrgyzstan, followed by Russia with $131.7 million and Kazakhstan with $54.9 million.
