BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, February 27. The Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund (RKDF) has financed nearly 1,900 projects in Kyrgyzstan's agricultural sector, totaling $145 million, during its years of operation, Trend reports.

This was announced by Artem Novikov, Chairman of the Board of the RKDF, at the "Agrodialogue 2024" forum.

"We actively collaborate with entrepreneurs and develop projects in the agricultural sector across all regions of Kyrgyzstan. During the forum, we provide advice to farmers and businessmen, highlighting the benefits of cooperation with the fund," Novikov said.

According to him, enterprises assisted by the RKDF cover 20-80 percent of the country's needs in essential goods such as milk, poultry meat, eggs, and sugar. Currently, the fund is reviewing a large number of projects in the agro-industrial complex and processing sector.

"Part of the RKDF's projects contributes to the cluster development of the economy. In the dairy, sugar, and fish industries, there are examples where we support both raw material producers and processors. We hope that our efforts will further contribute to the development of agriculture, import substitution, strengthening food security, and the country's economy," Novikov emphasized.

The RKDF was established in 2014 and serves as a crucial tool in Kyrgyzstan's integration into the Eurasian Economic Union.

The "Agrodialogue 2024" forum discussed key aspects of the country's agricultural development, such as the introduction of innovative technologies, increasing agricultural productivity and quality, promoting sustainable agricultural practices, and other relevant issues.
