Kyrgyzstan's imports of automotive gasoline drop

BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, March 9. Kyrgyzstan imported 630.114 million liters of automotive gasoline in 2023, which is a 19 percent decrease compared to the previous year's import volume of 778.811 million liters, Trend reports.

Data from the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan reveals that the total value of these imports amounted to $277.326 million, a decline of 21.3 percent from the $352.398 million recorded in 2022.

The majority of gasoline imports came from Russia, with Kyrgyzstan importing 586.884 million liters of gasoline valued at $263.630 million in the previous year. Kazakhstan stood in second place, with imports totaling 40.150 million liters of gasoline, valued at $12.328 million.

Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade turnover totaled $15.660 billion in 2023, a 29.9 percent increase over 2022 ($12.057 billion). The country's exports totaled $3.308 billion, up 46.8 percent year-on-year ($2.254 billion in 2022). Imports to Kyrgyzstan totaled $12.352 billion, an increase of 26 percent from $9.803 billion in 2022.
