BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, March 9. The total number of incoming transfers in dollars in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 217,500 transactions worth $123.8 million from October through December 2023, Trend reports.
According to the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan, compared to the same period in 2022, the number of transfers decreased by 9.5 percent, while the value increased by 13.6 percent.
The number of outgoing transfers totaled 89,100 transactions, amounting to $94.5 million. Compared to the same period of the preceding year, these figures decreased by 32.3 percent and 73 percent, respectively.
During 2023, the total number of incoming transfers in dollars in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 865,400 transactions worth $432.2 million. Compared to 2022, these indicators decreased by 25.1 percent and 39 percent, respectively.
The number of outgoing transfers last year amounted to 367,800 transactions, totaling $436.6 million. Compared to the previous year, these figures decreased by 18.9 percent and 54.4 percent, respectively.
During the fourth quarter of 2023, the total number of incoming transfers through international money transfer systems in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 1.815 million transactions, totaling 48.2 billion soms ($538.969 million). Compared to the same period in 2022, these indicators decreased by 18 percent and 16.5 percent, respectively.
The number of outgoing transfers amounted to 151,400 transactions, for a total sum of 11.7 billion soms ($130.828 million). Compared to October through December 2022, these figures decreased by 32.7 percent and 65.2 percent, respectively.
