BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, May 27. Kyrgyzstan's republican budget revenues reached $900 million from January through March 2024, Trend reports.
According to data from the Eurasian Economic Commission, expenditures amounted to $800 million, resulting in a surplus of $100 million.
For comparison, in the same period of 2023, Kyrgyzstan's budget revenues were $800 million, with expenditures also at $800 million.
During this period, the majority of the republican budget revenues in Kyrgyzstan came from value-added tax (47 percent of the total revenues) and other income sources (31 percent).
At the same time, significant portions of expenditures in Kyrgyzstan's budget were allocated to funding the social sphere (39 percent) and general state activities (30 percent).
To note, among the member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), only Kyrgyzstan achieved a surplus in the first quarter of 2024. Kazakhstan and Russia reported deficits, while Armenia balanced its budget.
