BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, May 28. The state assets of Kyrgyzstan currently amount to 824.2 billion soms ($9.375 billion), doubling over the past three years, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Akylbek Japarov, said during an international scientific and practical conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Ministry of Finance, Trend reports.

He noted that state assets amounted to 310 billion soms ($3.526 billion) in 2015 and 420 billion soms ($4.777 billion) in 2020, increasing 1.5 times over five years. This recent increase is attributed to the elimination of corruption.

As Japarov noted, the main issue was the Kumtor Gold Company. Dividends received from Kumtor amounted to $100 million from 1994 to May 2021, while in the last two and a half years, a profit of $300 million has been received.

He also added that effective reforms in managing state finances, digitalization, fiscalization, new initiatives in tax and budgetary policies, customs policy, and the capitalization of joint-stock companies and state enterprises have stimulated the growth of state assets.

Additionally, Japarov noted that the country's monetary, credit, and fiscal policies are on the right track.

"For example, in 2020, the consolidated budget volume was 247.8 billion soms ($2.818 billion). Three years later, the budget volume was 577 billion soms ($6.563 billion), and in 2024, the consolidated budget of Kyrgyzstan is estimated to be 670 billion soms ($7.621 billion)," Japarov said.
