BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, June 14. The construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway is set to begin at the end of August, Akylbek Japarov, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, said at the parliamentary meeting, Trend reports.

He noted that agreements were recently signed by the involved parties, the financial model was finalized, and funding was secured, allowing construction to commence in August. Japarov emphasized that Kyrgyzstan's transport and logistics capabilities are extensive.

"The China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway will be a "road of life," transforming Kyrgyzstan into a major trade and industrial hub," he said.

The planned railway will connect China's and Uzbekistan's railways through Kyrgyzstan and further integrate with the European railway network via Turkmenistan, Iran, and Türkiye.

As outlined by Kyrgyz authorities, the railway route through Kyrgyzstan will span 311 kilometers, running from Torugart to Kosh-Dobo, Kazarman, and Jalal-Abad. This railway is expected to open new transport routes to Europe and the Persian Gulf countries.
