BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, September 9. The Ministry of Energy of Kyrgyzstan and the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry of Japan have signed a memorandum of cooperation aimed at the implementation of projects in the field of “green” energy using advanced technologies and practices, Trend reports.
According to information, the document was signed following the visit of Kyrgyz Energy Minister Taalaibek Ibrayev to Japan. He met with the Minister of Economy, Trade, and Industry Ken Saito during the visit.
The main purpose of the document is to promote and expand energy cooperation between Japan and Kyrgyzstan in the field of alternative energy sources, new technologies, and solutions.
Specifically, it is about the introduction of energy-efficient solutions, the development of renewable energy sources, hydrogen energy, electric fuel, carbon processing, utilization, and storage, as well as the production of high-efficiency electricity.
To note, within the framework of the official visit to Japan in November 2023, the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov held talks with the head of the Japanese state on energy cooperation.
