BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, September 20. Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Zheenbek Kulubayev and Hungarian Foreign Affairs and Trade Minister Peter Szijjarto discussed attracting Hungarian investments in "green" projects in Kyrgyzstan, Trend reports via the Kyrgyz Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
These topics were discussed during the fourth meeting of the Kyrgyz-Hungarian Strategic Council held in Bishkek, which covered bilateral cooperation in political, trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian areas.
The discussions included investment opportunities in agriculture and transport, as well as organizing high-level mutual visits and strengthening inter-parliamentary ties.
The parties also reviewed the activities of the Kyrgyz-Hungarian Development Fund and the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation.
Additionally, the foreign ministers talked about collaboration within international organizations like the UN, OSCE, and OTS and exchanged views on current international issues.
At the conclusion of the Strategic Council meeting, both parties signed a relevant protocol.
Data from the National Statistics Committee of Kyrgyzstan shows that trade turnover with Hungary from January through July amounted to $7.7 million, a decrease of 7.4 percent compared to the same period in 2023 ($8.3 million).
