BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, September 24. Kyrgyzstan's Asman Airlines has successfully conducted its inaugural technical flight on the Bishkek-Talas route.
As the country's Manas International Airport told Trend, the choice of this route carries symbolic significance, as Talas is renowned for its rich history and cultural heritage, playing a pivotal role in the narrative of the Kyrgyz people.
The site is notable for the Battle of Talas in 751, a key event that shaped the cultural and economic pathways of the region.
"The flight was part of the airline's preparations for launching regular services. Technical staff and flight crew meticulously practiced all phases of the flight, from takeoff to landing, demonstrating a high level of safety and readiness for commercial operations," according to the statement.
It was noted that Asman plans to launch regular flights not only on domestic routes but also to neighboring countries in the near future.
Asman Airlines is a wholly owned subsidiary of Manas International Airport. The airline has announced that its second aircraft is expected to arrive in October 2024, followed by a third in May 2025 and a fourth by the end of 2025.
