Queen Elizabeth II congratulated Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon on the 20th anniversary of Tajikistan's Independence, Asia-Plus reported.
According to the British Embassy in Dushanbe, on September 9 Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II of The United Kingdom, sent a congratulatory telegram, saying:
"As you celebrate the 20th anniversary of your Independence, it gives me great pleasure in sending Your Excellency my warmest greetings, together with my best wishes for every success for the people of your country in the coming years."
