President Hamid Karzai met with Shurkur Zuhurov Speaker of High National Assembly of Tajikistan leading a delegation to the funeral of Ustad Burhanuddin Rabbani in Kabul. In the meeting Zuhukov conveyed his sympathies over the martyrdom of Prof. Burhanuddeen Rabani to President Karzai and the people of Afghanistan and said that Imam Ali Rehman President of Tajikistan also conveys his deep sorrow in this respect. He added that the news about the martyrdom of Ustad Burhanudden Rabbani shocked us in Tajikistan and added that Ustad Rabbani has strived much in restoration of peace in Afghanistan and his efforts were also effective for this region and had also exerted efforts in restoration of peace in Tajikistan as well. He noted that when he was president of Afghanistan sincerely and honestly cooperation in talks between the government of Tajikistan and its opposition in the nineties. President Karzai calling the martyrdom of Ustad Shaheed as a great loss for the Afghan nation, added that the Hero of Peace of Afghanistan sacrificed his life on this path and the Afghan nation shall not forget his services towards peace restoration.
