The next meeting of the Council of Heads of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation's (SCO) Member States will take place in Tajikistan in 2014, Avesta.Tj reported with the reference to Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev.
During the meeting of the Council of heads of SCO Member States on Friday Atambayev said that at the end of the summit in Bishkek, the chairmanship in SCO will be transferred to Tajikistan.
Atambayev expressed the confidence that the work of the SCO Member States' heads will be fruitful and effective.
The summit in Bishkek is attended by Chinese head Xi Jinping, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, Uzbek President Islam Karimov, as well as the heads of observer countries - Afghanistan, Iran, Mongolia, and Foreign Minister of India and Pakistan's Prime Minister's advisor on Foreign Policy.
